Educational principles

Det frie Gymnasium is an experimenting school. For many years we have tried alternative teaching methods and exams. New subjects and subjects at new levels have been introduced, and we have, and have had, several experiments with inter-disciplinary project work. We have also worked with different kinds of group examinations and introduced the year plan which is now applied in all the upper secondary schools in the country. Educational innovation will always be a priority at Det Frie Gymnasium.
We will continue to be as creative and alternative in our approach as current legislation allows. Thus, our educational profile remains one of experiment, new ideas and ventures into new territory.
