The School meeting
The school meeting is the principal authority of the school, and it takes place on a weekly basis. The main administrative decisions concerning the running of the school as well as its organization and development are taken at these meetings. Therefore, you take part in deciding the shape and nature of your school. The school meeting operates in accordance with the school's regulations and refres to the board. The school meeting sets up a number of committees who put the ideas into practice.
Democracy and teaching at our school
Our democratic organization is also reflected in the planning and execution of our teaching. As a student you can influence, among other things, teaching methods, choice of subjects and study tour in cooperation with professionally committed teachers. The project work which you will experience during your time at Det frie Gymnasium was designed specifically to ensure student participation and to develop your subject knowledge, creativity and responsibility.
